Cards drawn in Three-card spread, with forth major arcana card above: Card 1, Six of Cups Card 2, Two of Swords (reversed) Card 3, Five of Cups Card 4 at the top, The Empress (reversed)
Interpretation:
Card One, You at the present time: Cups signify emotion and frame of mind. All the cups in this card are upright, demonstrating mirth and balance. There is an optimistic quality to this card; dreams feel obtainable.
Currently things appear to be going nicely for you emotionally. This is a happy card often representing joy, with child-like innocence, alongside happy whimsical moments. Love and support are around you now.
Card Two, Immediate future: The swords are often a sign you need to give an aspect of your life careful and considered thought. It looks as if you are about to face a decision that you are hesitant to make or you feel stuck somehow, but fear making a move forward. The Two of Swords often represents a reluctance to face a truth that you’d much rather ignore. When the card is reversed it makes the decision imperative. If there’s something in your life that you’re unsure about, whether it is a job you dislike or a relationship that isn’t working as you’d hoped, this card suggests that circumstances could push you to face this and it is urging you to choose wisely.
Card Three, Distant future: Another ‘emotion’ card this time depicting apprehension, even disappointment. But the cloak the woman is wearing in the card is red, signifying passion and courage which will prevail. She has the support from those nearest to her.
This card is like standing at a crossroads and being not quite sure which route is best to take. There’s a possibility that something needs to be walked away from and doing so won’t be easy, even if it is for the best in the long-term. Very few of us like change as it creates uncertainty. This is how it may feel, but deep inner-strength and the support of others will be on your side.
Card Four, The big picture : The Empress encompasses all that is feminine: fertility, abundance both in sexuality and materiality, beauty and nurture/motherhood.
As this card is reversed, it suggests perhaps a part of you has been lost, perhaps for the sake of someone else – compromising your needs to please others. A loss of clarity, or financial difficulty can occur when this card is reversed, but none of this will be forever, you have the power within you to change it.
SUMMARY: Over all some challenges await you, but it’s not all bad, the first three cards are ‘minor’ ones, so what is ahead will not be ‘huge’, but there is advice:
Make decisions wisely and carefully. Do not lose sight of who you are and what you need; look after yourself, especially health-wise. Don’t be too hard on yourself if things don’t always go according to plan!
This is a transitional period for you. It is something that needs to happen for you to go forward and it will benefit you in the long run. You have support there for you when you need it.
